Flavor mash up | Soulful Sunday

I get inspired everyday, all day; because of that I’m always in the kitchen. Mixing and marching flavors to keep my taste buds going. This healthy but savory meal hit the spot on this hot day.

Sawsawan: apple cider and white vinegar, soy sauce, fresh and ground garlic, fresh and ground onion powder, tomato, and pepper. Cilantro optional.

It all started last night with this Sawsawan sauce I made. I was craving vinegar and something different so I went to google and it popped up. This bold in flavor Garlicy vinegar Filipino sauce was just what I needed. ( I added cilantro for a little extra freshness

Then I just went to town. Making some seasoned rice, Jamaican fried plantains and southern style blackened catfish. Well I tell you my mouth was doing back flips; and done under 30 min.

Don’t forget to take a moment today and acknowledge your growth and possibilities. Like a plant you started from a little seed. You battle all sorts of weather and conditions, you are watered and you sometimes move into a new pot to continue flourishing. Don’t forget to take a look at your leaves and smile for each was worth the effort to make.

Drink your water, remember you are amazing & never forget I’m here if you need me. Good day and happy thriving.
