Outrage | Shame on You

I will keep this as short and to the point as possible. I feel like everyone has a voice and to sit back and say nothing means you stand behind the decisions made. And writing is how I heal so I must get this off my chest.

Regardless of the doing of the boyfriend of Breonna Taylor, those officers were on a search warrant to obtain evidence for their case. They were not on a black ops search and kill mission, however that was the result of their actions. To shoot, 32 shots into a home that you know belongs to someone else means you do not care about the innocent lives in that home. No where does it say you were there Miss. Taylor. Per the reports I read Miss Taylor’s ex only fired once.

To not acknowledge the wrong of the officer you are saying what he did was not only right but also ok to continue. To many raids have happened and innocent people have gotten hurt. We do understand you have a job to complete but your job is to also protect. Protect the lives of those of all races. To carry out your job with minimal causality, am I not correct.

How many car chases, raids, and shot outs in the middle of neighborhoods of children and families have to happen with the police for them to realize that innocent people are in the area. To not be mindful, to not be protective the lives that have nothing to do with your task at hand is careless, heartless and down right inhuman.

We call these acts against African American racist because to many times have we seen vicious acts of crime committed by whites and they are not only able to get a burger, but they also make it to see another day, year, the judge, their family. These acts are racist because whites people never care about the lives of blacks until it benefits them. These acts are racist because you mock us when we are grieving from your actions! These actions are racist because no ones sees the wrong nor is anyone charged fir crimes committed against African Americans.

To my black people, we must matter to one another for us to even get a serious foot in the door of change. UNITY IS STRENGTH. We must rise against this hate they want us to spew and use our knowledge and money else where. We must hurt them how they hurt us, force our way into the circles they try to block us from. We must take charge, set fire to our creativity
