With all the recalls (ground beef, salmon & chicken) and diving in deeper in my holistic journey I’ve decided to go on a partially vegetarian voyage. I will consume dairy ( milk, yogurt, etc), I will also eat eggs. But no seafood & no meat. My grocery list consisted of
- Rice 🍚
- Vegetable stock
- Yogurt 🍦
- Eggs 🥚
- Sweet potatoes 🍠
- Tomatoes 🍅
- Bell peppers 🌶
- Frozen veggies: Brussels, broccoli, peas and carrots)
- Canola oil
- Beans (black, kidney, & pinto)
- Fresh corn 🌽 , carrots 🥕 & celery)
- Grapes 🍇
Whole Foods, Randazzo’s & Aldi are great stores for shopping for products at a great price.
One of the biggest issues many run into when going vegetarian is being full for periods of time. Adding and extra serving of vegetables if your looking to stay lean, an extra serving of pasta or starch if your looking to bulk up.
Whenever you are starting a new regimen go into it with positive thoughts, a reason and a goal. Knowing why your working hard is just as important as the end goal.
Yoga 🧘♀️/ Stretch for 15 minutes and then meditate for 15 minutes.
Poses to consider:
- Downward dog
- Tree pose
- Warrior I, II, & III
- child pose
- Sitting with legs crossed, palms relaxed; deep breath in through your nose, release through your mouth
- Repeat: “I am in control. I am capable. I am one with the Universe.”
