The weekends are a great time to try out new recipes, diets and foods. I go to my local vegetable market and go exploring with my family to see what we will try new this week. After roaming the isles and picking up various things; we decided upon potstickers.
The summer is all about quick, easy and fun meals. We grabbed a few wine coolers, candles and potsticker wrappers from the local store. Dinner is served.
But I wanted to be a little fancy, why not have an appetizer. I grabbed a pack of cream cheese, garlic cloves (minced garlic is fine), salt/pepper, sweet onion.
I cooked my garlic down, releasing the oils and it’s deliciousness.
Combing everything together
I had to sneak a bite, it was great.
DINNER TIME.
It was easy to prep for dinner, for I had leftover garlic and onion from our appetizer. I grabbed a head of cabbage and finely chopped it.
Rehearing my pan that had the left over oil from the garlic, added the cabbage.
Once wilted I added the onion and garlic.
Now the fun part, making the potstickers
Filing each one, folding and attempting to crimp them closed
The next step is critical, place them in the freezer for like 15 min
I then heat a oiled a pan, and placed them in. Once browned to my liking I then flip them and add water, reducing to a simmer
Their not the pretties but they taste delicious
