Gluten is what gives donuts, bread and grains their chewy satisfying texture. But myself and many others have an allergy to this substance. I have had a gluten allergy for about 4 years now. I’m a lover of bread, donuts and sugar; who isn’t but I’m not a fan of stomach aches, overnight stays in the hospital and taking pills.

So let’s go to Whole Foods or Wal-Mart and see what they have down the gluten-free isle. But I was immediately stopped as I looked at the labels. Watch what you pick up. Though gluten is bad for those who have the allergy, the problem with many gluten free products is the adding of sugar.
Reading the labels on products before purchasing them is very important. Pay attention to the important things like sugar, sodium, carbs, and protein. Remember regardless of your goal to lose or gain weight; what you put into body matters.
