Is Sugar the late night Enemy

SUGAR! Sugar is in everything and everything just about turns into sugar once it’s digested, so what should you eat.

I personally have a gluten allergy, gluten when broken down by the body turns into sugar and energy. So though you need it for energy you don’t need it’s sugar. Hence gluten free the good stuff without the sugar. Gluten items are things like

  • Bread
  • Meats
  • Pasta
  • Pastries

My solution, no I’m not fully gluten free. Though some gluten green items are delicious, I still have my vices. I personally stay away from artificial sugar, I’m not a fan of drinking a lot of pop, sports drinks or energy drinks. I make 95% of my deserts using raw sugar.

But I’m human I enjoy donuts, meat, lcranberry juice (no sugar added), Sprite, Lemonade, Pure leaf Tea, and ClearFruit; but all in moderation. Even fruit which is a natural sugar, to much of that can be a bad thing. Being aware of what you are putting in your systems and removing the harmful items is what you should stride towards.

As you see sports drinks are 70% sugar. Which yes may be good at that moments but that sluggish feeling you have after, that’s the sugar. Try natural energy drinks, green tea and ginseng. Today try removing your typical glass of juice or late night dessert and replace it with

  • Pomegranate juice (no sugar added
  • Cranberry juice (no sugar added)
  • Green tea
  • Sparking water
  • Smoothie
  • Fruit 🍉
