Throw it in a Wrap

  • Cabbage, mushroom, zucchini and bean sprout rice wraps

    Wraps are a quick and easy way to pack all the things you love into something you can hold on the go. From traditional wrappers like tortillas, pita and flatbread to non traditional like rice paper, egg roll wrappers and lettuce all can be stuffed your favorite Healthy choices like chicken, black beans, brown rice, eggs, spinach, and create dishes like:

    • Eggs, spinach and cheese on a whole grain wrap for breakfast

    • Avocado, eggs and bacon on a tomato basil wrap at any time of day

    • Rice, chicken breast and queso for a lunch burrito

    • BLT wraps on avocado wraps
    • Cabbage, mushroom, zucchini and bean sprout rice wraps (above)
    • Steak, onion and cilantro lettuce wraps (below)

    You can make these wraps the night before and place them in air tight container. For wraps with sauces I place the sauce on the side in its own container. I also like to place a piece of plastic wrap in the container as well. Never underestimate the power of a wrap. You can get all your vitamins and protein in a meal that you can hold in your hand. The worst thing you can do is not eat, starving your body makes your body feed on itself taking good fat and resources from places where it is needed. When days are hectic …. throw it in a wrap
